Population and the 40th Earth Day: the Video Release

Population growth is intricately intertwined with critical environmental issues such as climate change, pollution, and loss of biodiversity. But how many people know the current world population?  And how do people feel about population’s impact on the environment? To get answers to those questions, the Population Institute asked a dedicated and talented group of young men and women from Silver Spring, Maryland, known as the Gandhi Brigade, to conduct video interviews on the National Mall during this year’s Earth Day celebrations.  See the results….
