Reception Honoring: Dr. Negussie Teffera And Alleyne Regis

A recognized leader in family planning, Dr. Negussie is the Population Media Center's Country Representative in Ethiopia. He oversees production of radio serial dramas and training of media practitioners using the Sabido methodology. He was the former Director of the Ethiopian National Office of Population, where he played a leading role in the writing of the country's population policy and oversaw its adoption and implementation.

Alleyne Regis is the Caribbean Regional Director for Population Media Center. He has overseen the production of two serial dramas in the Caribbean and one in the Western Pacific successfully promoting family planning and conservation of the environment. Before joining PMC he worked as Technical Director with US-based conservation organization Rare where he oversaw Rare Radio.

Bill Ryerson, President of Population Institute and Population Media Center, and Bob Walker, Population Institute's Executive Vice President, will also speak at the event.
